This eclectic ensemble of highly regarded internationally acclaimed musicians was founded in 2016 by Band Leader and Composer, Weedie Braimah. Braimah, a phenomenally talented and highly sought-after Djembe Fola whose vision is to build a reverence for folkloric West African music in hopes of it evolving and being placed in the world musical arenas of jazz, funk, fusion, world music, and hip hop, is a new face of African percussion both nationally and internationally.

This astounding folkloric orchestra mounts percussion as the frontage presenting music of the diaspora focusing on instruments such as Kora, Ngoni, Balafon, Djembe, Dunun, Tama, Sabar, Bass, and Electric Guitar creating new sounds and boundaries like none before.

Weedie Braimah and the Hands of Time exemplifies tradition, evolution and soul. They are a highly engaging, inspirational and entertaining orchestra that is sure to awaken the African Soul defying the laws of gravity all in the hands of time. “I’ve got to go where I am in life not because of something I brought to the world but through something I found – the wealth of African culture Hugh Masekela

Terraphonics

Terraphonics is the production of songwriter / guitarist  Thomas Kenney, and features Alex Kellner on Bass, Brandon Brooks on Drums, and Jonathan Lovett on Keys- as well of a rotating cast of soulful vocalists and M.C.'s. Kenney's songs are influenced by the lo-fi rnb and hip hop sounds that were pioneered by J Dilla and A Tribe Called quest, as well as synth-heavy, experimental contemporaries Flying Lotus and Bonobo. Add a taste of African/Middle Eastern vibe, and you've joined Terraphonics in a celebration of heavy beats, timeless music, and soulful improvisations.
